[ˌslǝʊn'reɪndʒǝ(r)]N niño(-a) m / f bien (londinense) * SLOANE RANGER El término Sloane Ranger o Sloane se usa para referirse a los jóvenes de clase alta que viven en las zonas más refinadas de Londres, como por ejemplo Chelsea o Kensington, y que visten ropa muy cara de estilo campero. Los Sloane hablan con un acento típico de su clase, tienen, en general, ideas conservadoras y le dan mucha importancia al rango social y a la apariencia. Este término fue acuñado por un escritor de moda en los años 70 y se usa en la actualidad con un tono despectivo para referirse a las personas con valores superficiales. La expresión proviene de un juego de palabras hecho con Lone Ranger (el Llanero Solitario) y el nombre de una zona elegante del centro de Londres, Sloane Square.
